Worship & Music
.

Although we gather in many different ways, our primary worship services are the Sunday celebrations of Holy Eucharist. Since the word Eucharist means thanksgiving, we consider ourselves to be a community of people striving to be ever more thankful and generous (to God and to each other). We are a community of people who gather to pray the ancient prayers of Christianity, while making sure our worship speaks in life-giving, reverent and mysterious ways to 21st Century people.

Sunday Services:

8:00 a.m.     Holy Eucharist
A quiet, reflective service with sermon and communion.

10:15 a.m.   Holy Eucharist

A festive celebration of Holy Eucharist with sermon, choir, organ, and lots of congregational singing. Nursery care is available.

Music at Ascension

Ascension's worship music can best be described as traditional, utilizing the musical talents of our organist, choir and tracker organ. Our tracker organ is a freestanding instrument built by Paul Fritts  of Tacoma . Ascension musicians also share their talents throughout the year by playing instruments during the Sunday service.
