Children at Ascension

Sunday Mornings at 10:15 a.m.

Our Church school program is designed to meet the needs of children at whatever stage of their faith development, to foster a sense of God's love, and to help them grow in service to others.

Younger children use an exciting program called Godly Play. We act out Bible stories using creative wooden figures, a desert sand box, and large rocks to resemble Mount Sinai.

Older Children use an ecumenical curriculum from Seasons of the Spirit with additional modules focused specifically on our Episcopal traditions.

Special seasonal activities for children include an Easter egg hunt, a visit from St. Nicholas, and our annual Christmas pageant.
