The Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Magnolia

Directions

The Church of the Ascension is located at the west end of the "village" in the Magnolia section of Seattle and is accessible by Metro Transit bus #24. Viewmont Way West begins at the northeast corner of the church grounds.  34th Avenue West going south dead-ends into the church property.
 

From Seattle Center and points south :

Take Denny Way west, toward the Sound; it becomes Western Ave. and turns right becoming Elliott Ave.

Stay on Elliott Avenue, which becomes 15th Avenue.
Immediately after passing Taco Time and Starbucks on the right you will see an overhead sign in the right lane for the Magnolia Bridge / Pier 86-91 . Get in the right lane and follow the signs to the right-turn exit ramp.

Exit right for the Magnolia Bridge.
Go over the bridge and follow the road along the bluff until you come to a stop sign. The street is Magnolia Boulevard as it curves along the bluff, but then just past this stop sign it becomes Clise. Go straight through the stop sign on Clise and continue about a block and a half until the road forks.

Bear left at the fork and continue for another block. The road curves to the left around a 76 Gas Station

Bear left at the 76 Gas Station and continue for another block up a small rise.

The church is on your left. The road is now called Viewmont Way West. On street parking only.

From Ballard and points north :

Go south on 15th Avenue West (toward Seattle Center) to the Magnolia Bridge (sign on bridge says Garfield.
Turn right onto bridge.
Follow directions above beginning "Go over the bridge …"
